And I’m wondering this book got so many five star reviews, I was at the point that I started skipping pages so I didn’t have to read the increasingly cringey romance dialogue. It’s a shame because I think the setting has promise if the book didn’t spend quite a bit more time than being hornier than ASOIAF. The whole romance aspect just really killed the book for me.
I’m reading it right now and I rather like it. I guess not everyone likes the romance part of it, but if I recall correctly it was advertised as enemies to lovers right?
I think the author was already big on tik tok.
