I had only seen a meme or two and had no idea what the show was. It initially came off as a little…wholesome…for my taste and I couldn’t figure out why it was so popular given how PG it seemed. I stopped watching mid episode and restarted later in the day when I had some downtime, thinking I’d just finish out the episode and be done.

Then that fucking ending scene happened.

Anyways now I’ve binged all the episodes and am starting the comic. I’m excited for a wild ride but I honestly don’t think I’m ready for how brutal it’s going to be.

This is exactly my experience too. I was aware this comic existed, but I knew nothing. I was kinda glazed over watching episode 1, and then… Holy moly… what a ride

I wish we could have seen a bit more of the guardians before the end of the first episode.

I started watching the first episode and said “horrible animation and art” “wtf is this is just like another version of DC but worse” “well at least the voice over is good”

Then saw the end and I was like wtf, but what really got me was the last two episodes, that’s was ready something amazing, have not felt something like this since GOT

I had multiple people recommend this show and have no spoilers outside of “awesome super hero show”. Decided to watch it with my 3 year old daughter and we were having a blast until the end of the first episode. Never scrambled for a remote so fast

Don’t know how far you are in the comic but it might be best to hold off until this Friday. Episode’s gonna be insane and I can only imagine how enjoyable it would be to not know what’s coming. Comic is really good though so I don’t blame you if you can’t put it down

This is the exact reaction I had to the first episode. “Why is everyone so hyped about this? This is the most generic superhero show I’ve ever seen.” Then the final minutes hit you like a ton of bricks. The bait-and-switch was so well executed.

The fact that Robert kirkmans name was on the title should’ve gave everyone the heads up that this was gonna be something different
