    I have a question for the Hamily: do you think the people who claim they met on “a language learning app” actually did? This is a pretty common 90 day couple origin story.

    I ask because Clayton and Anali claim this but she seems to know no English. And also because I’ve never heard of anyone I know using an app where you find random strangers to talk to in another language you barely know? Like does anyone know the name of the most popular app like this?

    Also always seemed kinda fishy with Chantel and Pedro meeting that way. I don’t know why but Chantel doesn’t strike me as someone likely to join something like that! Though her Spanish after knowing Pedro a little while was pretty good.

      The app HelloTalk is specifically for talking to people in another language. Sign up and you get flooded with messages with people genuinely trying to learn English (from the region of the language you’re learning), or from people who are just trying to hookup with a foreigner.

      I am on duolingo practicing french. Never met a Frenchman or Quebecer yet, but fingers crossed one day!
