That feels super backwards. A parent’s job is to raise their child. The fact that Daniel shows more maturity than his mom isn’t anyone’s way of looking out for her, it’s extremely damning evidence of her being such a bad mom that he had to mature way before he ever should have had to. She’s done tremendous damage and I won’t be surprised if he has nothing to do with her as an adult.
