This is why hiring a translator is so important. Nick’s mom was trying to hard to connect with Devin and to comfort her and Nick was doing such a pisspoor job of translating. Maybe the emotional stuff is uncomfortable for him but Devin deserved to hear that very sweet message.
Even the hired translators usually suck at conveying the small nuances. I know I shouldn’t judge them because I can only speak one language but sometimes it’s frustrating to watch
