I have been self-sabotaging big time for the past couple years, abandoned all my good habits (including reading) and replaced them with smoking, fast food and self destruct.

I have read countless of self help, motivational books, I know what should I be doing but I just don’t do it.

I struggle with a lot of anxiety, panic and mental health issues.

I am currently reading a new book called “The Mountain Is You” by Brianna Wiest. Which seems to touch base with my issues.

But I want a book that could be revolutionary for the way I see and perceive life in general.

For example when I was young I read “The Secret” book and I was mesmerized by this new concept as a 16yo teenager.

Now I feel it is a bit tacky and satire.

But at the same time I am looking for something similar it terms of spirituality and concept.

If you have any suggestions, or books that helped you through tough times, I would really appreciate it!

I recently enjoyed Pierre Hadot’s Philosophy as a Way of Life, which draws threads between various Classical philosophies (Stoicism, Epicureanism, Platonism, etc) and their shared ‘spiritual exercises’ despite their opposed cosmologies, and suggests how they might still be valuable to us today.
