For example when I was young I read “The Secret” book and I was mesmerized by this new concept as a 16yo teenager. Now I feel it is a bit tacky and satire. But at the same time I am looking for something similar it terms of spirituality and concept.
I recently enjoyed Pierre Hadot’s Philosophy as a Way of Life, which draws threads between various Classical philosophies (Stoicism, Epicureanism, Platonism, etc) and their shared ‘spiritual exercises’ despite their opposed cosmologies, and suggests how they might still be valuable to us today.
