Not really boring because he never ceases to amaze me with the level to which he can disrespect her, and how she will tolerate it. She puts on this persona that she’s a strong independent woman who won’t accept bs from anyone. Then, this guy can say anything he wants to her and drag her in front of friends or family, and suddenly it’s ok.
Right!⬆️ strong Intelligent woman ??and wants to marry this clown-who is using her and she’s so smart 😂

The sad fact she tolerates it because the bumping uglies is good. So not a reason to stay in a relationship. It seems all the couples have that focus in a relationship and that is extremely not healthy

I forget how old she is, but even if she’s in her 30’s it’s not too uncommon to be a bit immature about how men treat you if you’re inexperienced. Some of these women I just want to grab and shake them awake, because I’ve either been there or seen others who have. She may have also been experiencing a bit of limerence (which I think a lot of these couples do) – in that in the time apart while waiting for this Visa she has all these fantasies about how it will be, that he’s clearly not living up to. On top of all that, she feels like she has a time sink, as she mentioned in the last episode – a lot of people will stay just because they don’t want to feel like they wasted their time / money in someone for it to not work out. Unfortunately, that often leads to more waste.
This guy gives me Luis vibes. He has family in the US he doesn’t want her talking to, and I think once he’s a little established here he’s just going to take off with them and try to figure out how to stay.

I understand it’s a cultural thing but it makes me wonder why is it when a foreigner comes over to the states and it’s a cultural thing to send money to the family back home so what happens if the American goes to where the partner is why is that partner not sending something back to the Americans family, I think that tradition needs to stop. Manuel needs to go get a job so until he has that job there should be nothing sent home.
Thank you for putting this into words. He will straight up disrespect and dehumanize her while depending on her (and maybe scamming her), and when she argues back it seems like she’s just upset he didn’t rinse the dishes.
