This is supposed to be an action adventure cartoon super hero series not a damn soap opera. I dont care about mark moving in to college, to watch him awkwardly bang his gf or >!Debbie going to therapy!<. I saw the writers of young justice do the same shit to that show and it killed the series, ffs i wish people who wanted to write soaps would just write soaps and stop trying to bring these elements into everything else.

You can have slower moments in shows like this but they need to be earnt and they need to be the exception, this episode felt like 80% slice of life filler.

Most super hero stories feature this dynamic. Super powered brawls and saving the world on the other side, real life drama with school, work, & relationships on the other, and how they interact with and effect each other.

Bro invincible is a soap opera it quite literally is about him and his family. What will you have after 500 years? Family. That’s the fucking point

This is such a brain dead take, we are experiencing peak fiction and some think too much story is bad. This latest season is following plot lines heavily. Bar for bar. But yet you complain it is different than the comic and to much like a soap opera? The whole comic is about mark and his family, struggles and triumphs. What makes him invincible. The comic is about his family and friends.

How did it feel like 80% filler when about 50% of it was Allen, unless you count that as part of the soap opera. Also the last 15% was seance dog/omniman setup. For me only 35% was “soap opera”.

I get where you’re coming from but most the stuff was earnt. Marks school life was always apart of the show. You said you read the comics so you’ve also got to remember this point of the comic was literally called family ties and was more chill. Debbie going to therapy is just showing us a her downfall, in the comics at this point she was just a useless and annoying drunk.
