Because she’s the most attractive person he could get. He’s not rich. His house is trashy. He wears those dumb ass hats all the time. He sucks…so he gets a comparatively sucky trophy wife with an extra helping of crazy.
Similarly, if she were more sane and nicer, she could probably snag a much more successful older man.
My stance on them is that I wish them and their relationship all the luck in the world and I hope it lasts forever…because they’re both awful and I wouldn’t wish either one of them on anyone else.
