She looks so crazy in the trailer for next week, screaming her head off when TJ is trying to talk to her about her depression. I mean, of course she’s depressed, she can’t work and she’s in a foreign country without her friends and family. That’s the show. That being said, I can’t stand her, and I’m really liking the brother-in-law more and more, especially when he laughs at her.

She seems more frustrated than insane. She’s in a place where nobody cares about anything she wants or says. She used to be a person with feelings and emotions, and now she’s expected to just be an ornament that cooks and cleans. She wants to be heard, but if she says anything that doesn’t go with what TJ or his family wants, she’s ignored or told she’s wrong (or stupid as Yash likes to put it) I would go insane too!

I feel the same way and have found this is the minority opinion. It seems like she has no support, feels out of control, and now is in a new normal that she was not prepared for after explicitly asking about.

All that plus the general culture shock, language barrier, etc. I know everyone says that no one Googles what to expect but there’s so much nuance from family to family and then it’s different when you’re actually in the situation. I don’t know I feel like I would have let out a deranged scream sooner …

I’m glad someone else has this take, because I was shocked to see how many people bashed her. She has no support in India and TJ’s family is pretty awful. I would’ve bounced a long time ago.

yes, but why on earth would a modern, western woman put herself in such a hopeless situation?

      The hubris must be enormous!

These are a lot of words to make excuses for her behavior. You’d never make these excuses for Kimberly if she was a man acting this way

I would if he had moved into a home where men have no control or say over their own lives and his fiance had repeatedly promised him that she wasn’t like that and she had admitted on camera that all that was lies and manipulation

My issue is that she usually isn’t wrong about WHAT she’s feeling and why she’s feeling it, but HOW she communicates it. There is absolutely zero reason to have such dramatic reactions like screaming. She acts like an overtired child.
