She looks so crazy in the trailer for next week, screaming her head off when TJ is trying to talk to her about her depression. I mean, of course she’s depressed, she can’t work and she’s in a foreign country without her friends and family. That’s the show. That being said, I can’t stand her, and I’m really liking the brother-in-law more and more, especially when he laughs at her.

Both Kimberly and TJ’s family are equally batshit insane. TJ and his family are very backwards and conservative, even by Indian standards, and they don’t strike me as upper middle class by any means. And, neither party is handling the relationship issues well. It’s just such a different culture with different expectations for men and women alike.

I’m Indian-American and wouldn’t touch TJ with a 10-foot pole. He and his brother are clearly losers by Indian standards — if they are SUCH a traditional family, why hasn’t Yash gotten married yet as the oldest brother? They are both fluent in English, but I’m not sure what their occupations are. No educated, attractive Indian woman with options would dream of marrying into TJ’s psycho family. That’s why he’s trolling on the internet for white women.
