I like Amber in the show. I entirely get her anger at being lied to about it for so long and I don’t really get the hate she gets in a lot of online discussions about the show because of it. Does anybody else feel similar or am I missing a serious flaw about her character?
Having just read the comics, and seen the show so far, seems to me the whole point of amber and mark’s relationship is seeing two emotionally immature people struggle, then grow. Eventually they both realize that love will never solve the fundamental issue at the core of their relationship.
Along the way they do a lot of shitty teenage/college stuff :). Many actual human adults don’t have the empathy or maturity either show or comic Amber have, or Mark.
