I like Amber in the show. I entirely get her anger at being lied to about it for so long and I don’t really get the hate she gets in a lot of online discussions about the show because of it. Does anybody else feel similar or am I missing a serious flaw about her character?

Even the outburst didn’t seem that out of place or manipulative, some of the complains I read put her as if she was bashing mark for choosing to save the world instead of serving soup; that was decidedly not the case.
She’s a teenager same as mark, and I can understand her frustration because there was never a good explanation to try and keep things at least a bit sane you know? It was always Mark saying “I’ll do better” while never actually doing better consistently.
I was expecting a shit character that was self-centered using charity as a cover up, but nah it was just an Ok character that was strung along by Mark foolish decisions until things reached a breaking point.
