Quite honestly I can’t stand only a few books that I’ve read, recently The Awakening by Nora Roberts.

Holy crap, do I reallllyyyyy want my money back. I was bored. So. Bored. The magic system was subpar, the characters just….ew, everything was so, so boring. The MC is an idiot.

    Throne of Glass. It’s one of the few books that I’ve thought was a painful waste of my time.

    I appreciate the author wrote it when she was quite young, but that doesn’t make it a good book.

      Yeah this one is a slow burn in terms series - the first two books aren’t great but put in the perspective of the later books they’re enjoyable.

      I personally loved this series but I will say that it doesn’t get good until book 3. I thought that the story really matures and takes off from there. I didn’t really like the first 2 books though and almost DNF’d the series but I’m glad I kept reading.
