Asuelu deported?
He’s on TikTok live right now, and said he’d got deported because his papers expired.
Has anyone heard about this before now? I’d love to know how that all transpired.
Hopefully, this will give Kalani some extra space to heal.
I wonder what this will mean for the kids and custody?
I’m just curious:
If child support is a thing when the father is deported? Not that I think Asuelu could ever pay that im just curious how that works from this situation.
It depends not the countries involved. I’d probably say no with it being Samoa though.
His samoan $ would be worth nothing in the US anyway
Pretty sure they can go after any of the money he makes from that show seeing as it’s a production company from the US. The can also take any tax return money from him that was filed here in the US. I’m sure she had to do all of that as well
I doubt he would pay anyways, she’s better without him.
Right. I bet it’s cheaper to not have him around without child support than support him too.
Agreed. I bet it’ll be a relief to her. I doubt he would ever contribute much towards child support and it is probably very stressful and scary to allow that man to ever take those kids alone anywhere.
Some countries have child support agreements with the US. Was he from the US side of Samoa? I would think the territories have that agreement. No idea how hard it is to get it through that though.
Samoa isn’t one of those countries and the father/parent would have to be American. So no, they can’t collect anything from him outside of the US.
Nope, child support can’t be enforced overseas.
Not entirely true. Depends on the country
I’m not aware of any countries that have reciprocity set up like this. I imagine some states don’t play nice. I would be curious if Kalani could do anything if he continues to work for Sharp, or whoever writes the checks. But I think she and her family knows he’s not good for any $$$.
Well I guess he’s not from American Samoa? Probably not. Unless he wants to return to the US then they might demand he settle’s child support
Nope because the court can’t enforce it. That’s a way of getting outbof paying. Just leave.
