What aspects of the authors’ previous works captivated your enjoyment? Personally, my three chosen authors are Nicholas Sparks, as we all crave romance in our lives; Rick Riordan, whose books rekindle the youthful enthusiasm within me; and lastly, Fredrik Backman, whom I consider the finest realistic fiction author.
First, Stephen King. I like him, but the sheer quantity puts him on the top of my list because re-reading the same 3 books some author wrote for the rest of my life doesn’t sound fun.
Imagine someone chooses Harper Lee and only has “To kill a mockingbird” and “Go set a Watchman” to read til the end of time…
Second, Terry Prachett. I think this is self-explanatory.
Third, Isabell Alende. Because she his a fantastic writer. She does scratch the romance itch (but less sappy and more feminist) but also provides adventure and magical realism and family and history and personal drama.
