I feel like the comic doesn’t do enough to justify Robot’s mass superhero murder outside of showing that he’s evil now. The argument that they give is that they might rise up against him, but the only reason Immortal and co. end up fighting him is because Robot killed their friends. So many characters that eventually side with Robot even admit that the only reason to fight him would be for revenge, because he really had made the world better. We have no reason to believe that if Robot had implemented his plan without the “kill my friends” step, he wouldn’t have succeeded with his utopia.

I guess that’s what makes him a villain in the end. He could have tried the peaceful option to achieve his goals, but in the end he opted to destroy anyone who might have the power to disrupt them. Thousands of years in the Flaxan dimension probably just left him too callous and jaded to see any other way.

They would have tried to stop him from changing the world if they could have. He effectively decapitates any sort of resistance before it can form, then makes the world a better place, forcing them to accept his rule.
