    Because they write themselves into a corner with her, and so they had to come up with the flimsiest of excuses “I guess I wasn’t the only one being lied to” in order get them back together.

    In the comics Amber didn’t break up upon finding out Mark was a superhero. And the reveal happened after Nolan had already left Earth.
