!In the comic it was a clean ambush. In the show he nearly lost. But in the Reboot? he did fully lose. And really the only changing thing probably was mark bringing him straight to the Rushmore base, and Green Ghost telling War Woman to hit him one more time. Also Mark convincing him to quit.!<
So I’d wager Red Rush not getting caught would probably have helped them win.
Yeah, in the comic he just called them all in a room then killed them before they really even knew what was happening. I think it all happened in one page. I remember reading after watching season 1 and being like “that’s it?”.
Lmao, legit. Same for me. Saw clips of the show before I read it. This is probably gonna be the one of only few edge cases the show is more brutal/r-rated than the comic.
But when I was binge reading it my reactions were mostly less like “That’s it?” but more “Damn. What the fuck?”. Invincible really takes you for a ride.
Yeah they definitely made up for it. I think it was just an early mistake in the writing Kirkman wanted to refine. It really doesn’t make sense that he considered the guardians a threat when it was that fucking easy to kill them all. The show did it much better by having them actually put up a decent fight and make Omni-man collapse from exhaustion at the end.
I’m so hyped for the action scenes and large scale fights that come later in the series.
To be fair:
