I have seen so many posts of people shitting on popular books so I need to hear some of your favourite ones.

For me I believe that the A Good Girls Guide To Murder series is amazing and deserves all the love in the world

It has a incredible plot with so many fun and well written characters that I found quite relatable, the entire series is just fantastic and is one of my all time favourite mystery series

Hunger games. Those books are just excellent.

Also, Twilight is a SUPER love/hate divide, but I reread it like once a year and just have the best time. People shit on it constantly even today, but it’s such an easy, fun read. I will never apologize for liking them.

Okay, hot take here… Twilight definitely deserves the crap it gets, because it’s not a good or well-written series, BUT it is also a really fun read.

I agree really, I didn’t find it well written (although I guess that’s debatable in that it was compelling enough to keep going) but my nan bought me all 3 books when they were at peak hype while I was really sick in hospital, and thats exactly when you want some fun easy reading, an easy to follow plot and a page-turner. Got to admit I’m tempted to read the one she did from Edward’s point of view

Now for actually terribly written, and definitely deserving of the crap, is 50 shades of gray. I didn’t know it stated off as a twilight fanfic. It was another hospital stay (had some bad luck in my early 20s lol) I was allowed out when well enough to an asda next door, I saw it top of the bestsellers list, 3 for 2, so grabbed it without having read anything about it and barely glancing at the back. And i didn’t even find it good in a trashy entertainment way alone, BUT, it was really great for reading parts out loud to the other people I was there with, we would take turns (how many times she bit her lip). But also it deserved crap for how it depicted BDSM based relationships, what being a sub and a dom should be

One of my favorite tweets says, “I said it was my favorite book, I didn’t say it was good”

😂😂 YESSSSS. Okay, I will say most of my favorite books I can argue are also good, but I have a few average books that I absolutely love. But I can recognize the difference

Agree, a couple of friends and I reread Twilight every so often. It’s a cozy, nostalgic read for me, and I’ll read basically anything about vampires.
