A while back, I asked what book/s were still stuck on your current reading list, and I enjoyed the comments; I even got a few books added to my TBR pile for next year (tysm!). This time, what book did you read that was such a page-turner, you didn’t even realize you were on its last chapter?
Mine was Silence of the Lambs. I read it in my early teens, and back then, I was really into suspense/crime genres. Also, I’ve seen the movie beforehand (which I love!), and noticing the difference in storytelling between the two just piqued my interest. Before I knew it, I finished the book and started on Hannibal.
Da Vinci code was one, is that ok to say?😆🦃
Why wouldn’t it be? I know I read it quite quickly too, but I can’t recall details of the story now 🫠
😆
Da Vinci Code and Angels & Demons are my guilty pleasures because I love history, art, and architecture. The Lost Symbol was readable because Washington is interesting, but I made it to the “explanation” chapter near the end of Inferno and threw that shit right in the fucking garbage.
i too love hist, art and arch.
im going to do a Visigothic ruins of Spain tour hopefully when I retire.
when I was young [before marriage and kids} I did a monthlong Mayan ruins tour of Yucatan and So. Mexico.
ive never felt so alive as when I walk around ruins.
Wow that sounds amazing!
