A while back, I asked what book/s were still stuck on your current reading list, and I enjoyed the comments; I even got a few books added to my TBR pile for next year (tysm!). This time, what book did you read that was such a page-turner, you didn’t even realize you were on its last chapter?

Mine was Silence of the Lambs. I read it in my early teens, and back then, I was really into suspense/crime genres. Also, I’ve seen the movie beforehand (which I love!), and noticing the difference in storytelling between the two just piqued my interest. Before I knew it, I finished the book and started on Hannibal.

This might be weird, but for me Anna Karenina was a total page turner. I picked it up in the bookstore having never heard of it (I was in high school) read the first page, and was completely drawn in. I read it compulsively until I’d finished. Recently I reread it to see if it was as good as I remembered (I mean I know it’s good, but why did I enjoy it sooo much?) and it IS! The plot moves along, there’s a lot of interesting characters and things that happen along the way. Again I found myself hooked from the beginning and unable to put it down.

I had the same experience and I actually laughed out loud when reading your post. Great great book, I loved rereading it, I love the characters, the style of writing, everything.
