can you tell us like one or two really good moments and interactions without spoilers if possible?
There was a section where Mark had bug wife and purple baby in his arms flying away from the safety cave after the ambush. He thought he escaped but was being chased and miss bug wife was panicking and telling mark that the viltrumite was gaining on them.
Mark is beside himself not knowing what to do as stopping in the air is certain death and slowing down to place them on the ground is also certain death.
It’s a small 1 page scene but it really displayed a bit more helplessness for Mark where as in this episode they showed Mark as a more grown up and confident.
Fax I was kinda tight that they didn’t add this. It was a really important moment that really showed how weaker mark was compared to the other viltrumites
also that made mark start actually exercising and pushing his limits more, I guess that beating would make him do that but nolan didnt say shit about training, so maybe mark thinks his strenght only increases with age.
I haven’t read the comics, but Mark came across as quite helpless during most of this episode. Even after he started actually fighting back, he still hesitated and got himself stabbed.
I’m trying to visualize the scene you’re describing and what it would’ve added to the story, and I’m falling a bit short. Maybe I’d just have to see it to understand.
each to their own but i’ve read the entire series multiple times and it seems incredibly nitpicky, that scene doesn’t add anything of value in my opinion mark got his ass beat anyway lol

My opinions a bit different. I’m loving the comic so far and I’m only a bit ahead of where the show is now. But I think the show is doing almost everything better. The scene they describe from the comic was cool but you’re right it’s not really necessary. The biggest differences were how Mark reacted to seeing Nolan again. It felt much more realistic in the show to how he should react. I’m also liking the Donald story line better in the show so far. The characters of Debbie, Amber and William are overall better in the show too imo.
Still loving the comic cause like I said it’s really not deviating too much.
