Why didn’t the Viltrumites just finish Mark off and station one of their own, trusted soldiers on Earth? seems an unnecessary risk, if they’ve been following Marks career at all.
might be because some people on Earth know how dangerous non-Mark Viltrumites are already, so resistance is likely to be fiercer and more immediate to an unknown Viltrumite than to Mark acting as a sleeper
What resistance would there be though. These guys are unstoppable.
