He’s what? 18? Basically nothing in viltrumite timeframe.

Literally gets dominated by Lucan using one finger.

Then he gets his ass beat by Thula, who has hundreds of years of experience minimum, mind you viltrumites get stronger with age, aaand somehow a pep talk allows him to almost kill her? What? Mind you, in the comics this Thula threw down with Battle Beast and walked away alive

    “Don’t think, react”

Against the Flaxens he’s stuck but then when Eve is in imminent danger he force breaks the goo and sends the tank flying.

Against Machine Head he gets mad and whoops everyone’s ass that was kicking his ass before until Battle Beast fucks him up.

Mark doesn’t know how to use his powers when he’s in a normal state, it isn’t until he stops thinking and just goes all out that he’s able to truly harness his potential.

Nolan iknows Mark’s strength more than anyone. We see Nolan is one of the stronger viltrumites of since he basically toyed with Vidor. Nolan watched Mark get beat up by Battle Beast last season, he knows Mark is capable of at least taking the hits, and has seen Mark rage too, hence his confidence in his pep talk. There is more in the spoiler realm that leans into this realm, but Nolan knows Mark is able to hold his own against these Viltrumites.

In athlete terms they call it a flow state

no, it’s called “the protagonist is very angry now”,

flow state is an entirely different beast
