It seems kind of weird that they’re establishing a major plot point completely out of the blue, and right before it becomes relevant. Was the comic like this? I don’t think naturally fitting in a couple mentions that Nolan’s civilian identity is a writer a few times would have been impossible.

I don’t know, it’s probably not that big of a deal buy I had this thought thought at the end of the episode and it bugged me a lot.

    I think they mentioned him being a writer once or twice in Season 1 but yeah, it was much better established in the comic. Though there he was a travel writer and the fact he used to write the sci-fi novels we see in the episode was revealed at this point.
