Not including short story collections, poetry collections, anthologies, etc.
For me, I believe it’s Oroonoko by Aphra Behn because it was on the syllabus for three different classes that I took in college. Other than that, the most I’ve read a single book is twice, and that was Telegraph Avenue by Michael Chabon. I’ve read Dracula 1.5 times. Didn’t finish it the second time around.
Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy
This is mine as well. Such an easy, comforting read
Now I’m getting to reread it with my 1st grader! It’s amazing to reread stuff I’ve read many times, but have a new perspective on it all.
This one is great on re-reads, a lot of British humor is so subtle that it is funny as a kid but you catch more jokes as you get older.
Ditto
This is my runner up, an easy and fun read every time.
My answer - I generally read it about once a year. It’s definitely my comfort book and has been for 30 years or so.
I read this when I was in the depts of depression, the complete set. It was the only thing that could make me laugh
The first, or the trilogy?
I have them all as one big book so I read them all over and over again
Love love Hitch Hikers Guide, I always go back to it when I’m feeling nostalgic for my first funny and absurd adventure, Sideway Stories from Wayside School - Louis Sachar.
