This episode proved to me that all it takes for me to start liking a genocidal psychopath is a moody montage with great music and beautiful cinematography.

Whoever wrote this better not start making political ads or we’re all screwed.

There is a difference between liking a character and liking a personality.
You can like his character because it’s well written but he is still a horrible person.

Well… you like him because he shows remorse. So you know he isn’t an actual psychopath, and it’s testament to humanity’s great capabilities towards forgiveness.

I’ve had the same thought!! Like why is Nolan so charismatic when we watched him up close and personal doing, basically, 9/11? Chicago is unforgivable.

Oh you should listen to “treat Jews better” by Rucka Rucka Ali. A good voice and an emotional song can make even a German tyrant seem sympathetic.

I forgive him. Dude was raised by genocidal maniacs. It’s literally ingrained into his psyche. Morals dont just appear when you’re born. You learn them from those around you. Being on earth for roughly 20 years or so isn’t going to change that, especially for a guy who will live to be thousands of years old.

His time on earth made him doubt, but it wasn’t enough to fully break the indoctrination of Viltrum. Deep down he actually liked being Omni man, and he likes saving people.

So yeah I can forgive him. It’d be different if he changes and then goes back to being pro Viltrum.
