It seems ratings and review are always public on Goodreads. I don’t really want to see others reviews, or impact books public ratings, I just get a lot of library books and want to be able to privately track what I’ve read and my thoughts. Are there any proper apps that would be good for this, or should I just use my notes app?
I use One Note. It’s just for me. I create tabs by year and keep a running list of the books, dates read and their rating. For the record, I’m a multi-pubbed author with a major publishing house. I REFUSE to publicly give another author a low rating because I know first hand how much work they put into each and every book. If I don’t like a book, that’s on me, and I log it accordingly in my records. But I would never disparage another author online, which is why I choose to pass on Goodreads and all the other apps.
