I use One Note. It’s just for me. I create tabs by year and keep a running list of the books, dates read and their rating. For the record, I’m a multi-pubbed author with a major publishing house. I REFUSE to publicly give another author a low rating because I know first hand how much work they put into each and every book. If I don’t like a book, that’s on me, and I log it accordingly in my records. But I would never disparage another author online, which is why I choose to pass on Goodreads and all the other apps.

Don’t compare yourself to others. Read at your pace. It doesn’t matter how fast or slow you read. It matters more that you enjoy what you’re reading. Don’t worry about anyone else and just be happy with you.

Agreed. I had figured it out pretty early on.

That’s because in the beginning James Patterson wrote his own books. Now all his books are co-authored. He writes an outline and the first chapter and then the co-author writes the majority of the book. You’re not really reading James Patterson. You’re reading the co-author.

I tried reading this book a few times. Each time I get halfway through and then I dread reading the rest. It’s been a repeated DNF. It lags too much in the middle for me.
