Bojack horseman is one of my favorite shows, if not the most favorite, I remember watching it whole, and waiting excitedly for the last season, But it was a pretty depressing era of me, also the show was pretty depressing too … the self destructing behavior of Bojack always resembling me, and I feel like it will bring me back; I still miss the show, I feel I missed many trivia in the background and details, so I’m not sure, what was your experience with rewatching?

I’ve just finished my 5th watch through. I actually find the depressive aspect to be very cathartic when I’m feeling down.

I highly recommend watching it again.

But that’s me, if you feel it brings you down then don’t listen to me, I’m so stupid I don’t realise how miserable I should be.

When I rewatched it the second time it was alot easier to not fall into all the sad stuff and pickup on more of the small details. It helped me a lot actually but depends on the person.

I always know I’m in my feelings when I rewatch. And I have rewatched it at least six times 😂

i am basically constantly rewatching the show and it manages to always fit my mental state cause it’s pretty versatile. you’ll have a character who is truly suffering but you’ll also have one that is working on themselves or having a good time. i feel like the show fits no matter if ur depressed rn or if ur having a good time

I rewatch almost every year now. It helps me get through my winters when my mental health generally goes on the decline. It helps remind me of my patterns and what to avoid, and how to better deal with my depression.

My pattern is to watch Bojack, then Steven Universe. Both largely concerned with mental health, however one is about how the bad things you do ripple out into the world, and the other is about how the good things can do the same.

Bojack is far more real though.

i first watched it in a “depressing era” too at honestly it sort of does bring it back every time i rewatch. it’s definitely a show worth rewatching though, catching on at tiny hints and foreshadowing moments
