I legit have never been able to watch and discuss a clip from the show without someone who read the books bringing up some MASSIVE future plot point. Doesn’t matter how insignificant or small the clip is someone always finds a way to spoil everything.

Im used to dodging spoilers for shows that have books but my god for some reason it’s the worst with this show. Even the Boys fans are pretty careful not to just throw out major spoilers.

If your enjoying the show and don’t want to get spoiled, unfortunately you can’t control others, so the only thing you can do is read the comic - which isn’t a super long read, it’s better than the show in almost every facet, and will mean you don’t get spoiled.

I realise this means you have to take action because of others failings, but unfortunately it’s probably the easiest thing to do.

The further back before the show they read the book, the more entitled to the fandom they feel and they try to flex on people to feel superior. They could just feel good about themselves for their inherent qualities as a person but they think it’s more important to tie their self worth to consuming a product, best not to examine that any further.

As many upsides there are to adapting a complete series to a show this is one downside of it. The comic started in 2003 and ended in 2018 so its only natural that alot of people have read it, even more so since season 1 aired and the long time between seasons. So it is only natural that fans of the source material wants to discuss it the same way the fans if the adaptaion wants to.

I guess it also comes down to the mediums the spoilers come from, because not many sites/comunities have rules/moderators that try to keep things spoiler free.

Overall the best way to stay away from spoilers is to read the source material the second best is only engage with the content in areas where spoilers are atleast attempted limited and the last is probably to not engage with social media at all if spoilers are an issue for you.

Legit I was watching a clip on the end of episode 4, and the top rated comment was a spoiler.

    Like wtf yall.

Not even Game of Thrones was this bad.
