Spoiler for like, any book existing.

I think mine has to be the villain in Mirror Man. Idk, he wasn’t intimidating, he wasn’t interesting. He was meh.

Also the villains from The Chain. Dear God they weren’t sympathetic in the slightest. The book tries to act like they were atleast pitiful but FROM THEIR INCEPTION, they were just evil assholes who enjoyed causing pain. The book itself wasn’t all that great anyways.

The Grandmother in Flowers in the Attic is an indelible stain of turpitude and religious hypocrisy on my memory. Olivia’s malice and unconscionable cruelty cannot be justified because her husband had an incestuous obsession with his mother and married her because she’s unprepossessing.

She found solace in religion yet how can she feel so vindicated in depriving four innocent children of even basic necessities and sequestering them away in the attic?

ehhhh she’s a complex character. It’s worse because she gets proven right about a lot of things
