I noticed a few plot holes in the most recent episode, S2 E4, that I wanted to discuss. First, how was Thula’s blade even able to cut a Viltrumite if they’re basically indestructible? Secondly, if such a weapon even existed, why can’t Viltrums just use swords to fight? Seems like quicker deaths and quicker fights, maybe to extend fight scenes I guess? Last, how was Nolan also able to pierce Lucan with a random spike on the Thraxans planet? If Thula’s blade was made from some rare material, how was the material on that planet still able to pierce a viltrum?

Why are so many people surprised by an alien metal being sharper than an Earth metal

Thulas blade isn’t an outlier. The guardians did a number on Nolan, using both their fists (Immortal, War Woman, and Red Rush) as well as weapons (war woman’s mace). We also saw battle beast hurt mark with his mace as well
