In a similar vein to the question posted earlier today, I wanted to know what book reco would you see as a huge green flag when dating, and why?

My answer: Lonesome Dove

Why: It delves into themes of friendship, loyalty, and the complexities of human relationships. If they like the book it tells me they have an understanding of the nuanced dynamics that make human connections meaningful.

Anything by Terry Pratchett would be golden. If they’ve read it and really get it, it means they have a great sense of humour, understand the importance of compassion and imagination, and hopefully appreciate a bit of constructive anger levelled at the structures that make people treat each other like things.

My partner and I read to each other, and I’m slowly reading him Discworld. :)

It’s cute that yall read together. That must really bring yall close. R.I.P Terry, you are dearly missed. I love the Discworld books, I’ve read like 30 of them myself.
