In a similar vein to the question posted earlier today, I wanted to know what book reco would you see as a huge green flag when dating, and why?

My answer: Lonesome Dove

Why: It delves into themes of friendship, loyalty, and the complexities of human relationships. If they like the book it tells me they have an understanding of the nuanced dynamics that make human connections meaningful.

    Harrow the ninth, even though I’d probably not be their type since I’m not a ginger lesbian, it’s just nice seeing people persevere and enjoy a very purposefully confusing and intricate novel

      Haha I read this series and then immediately after made my girlfriend listen to the audiobook with me. So good, and it gets better on every reread/relisten.

        That audiobook! My brain has trouble focusing on the words being said and not just getting lulled by the accent while my mind wanders. I should probably get a print copy at some point and try again.

      I’m obsessed with this series. I started it in August & have already read Gideon thrice & Harrow twice. So amazing.
