In a similar vein to the question posted earlier today, I wanted to know what book reco would you see as a huge green flag when dating, and why?
My answer: Lonesome Dove
Why: It delves into themes of friendship, loyalty, and the complexities of human relationships. If they like the book it tells me they have an understanding of the nuanced dynamics that make human connections meaningful.
(It’s all academic as I’m married and my husband hasn’t read it and won’t either. But I can watch that sort of film with him, so that’s good enough.)
The remains of the day by Kazuo Ishiguro. A person who isn’t bored by it and appreciates it can’t be a person I dislike. Imagine all those dates with things both like and the deep discussions. Perfect relationship building material.
