We have had posts on the best episode and favorite episode but what do you think is the funniest overall episode (as this is a comedy series after all). By funniest that means the most and best laughs weaved throughout the duration of the episode. I’m torn between the Diamond Dogs or Trent Crimm, the Independent but would like to know others thoughts on this.
Not sure about the whole episode but the sequence where they are practicing Total Football with the red strings is hilarious. Especially Roy’s facial expressions and how Ted/Beard respond to him.
His laughing, and then how excited he looked when jamies strung got yanked
Then wanting to do it again!
I know it’s a divisive episode, and some of the funniest bits go against some of the Lasso way, but Strings had me rolling on the floor. Roy Kent going sadistic and laughing like Ernie the muppet just killed me.
I think it’s a case of it being SO funny that they needed to have it in, even though it didn’t really fit in. That whole episode was really funny even though it dealt with a kind of serious subject.
that was truly ruining Roy for me, he was like a bad caricature of his previously great self from s2 and s1 … like what the heck? he’s doing the same thing as Rupert, but Rupert does it to women at work while Roy does it to men.
Yes, the Muppet laugh!
his little evil cat / Garfield chuckle.
gets me every time.
To me it sounded like Ernie from Sesame Street.
I think that a one time thing.
There’s is nothing the show has done better than the string
to me that almost ruined roy… it was like taken out from a messed up early 2000s comedy. Rupert gets judged for similar behavior at the workplace. you know, using power to be able to mess with subordinate’s intimate area
