The reality she was basically just a S2 Shandy/Jack character for Roy- someone for him to play off of in solo stories. There was no further purpose to the character than that and they were not important to the plot (the teacher was just better received). The fact that the writers gave her the full first and last name of one of the writers proves that.

Closest we got was replacing the E in Kent with a U.

The reality is Hannah has an option contract for S4- so if Jason says S4 is go she (and everyone else in the cast under contract) has to be there whether they want to be there or not. For any spinoff - that would be a new contract the actor would have to agree to and sign up for- so if they don’t want to do it it’s a no go (as obviously they would not recast for a spinoff). So you can read Hannah as being diplomatic but she’s really just speaking the truth of the situation.

I always thought the B plot was the Nate storyline, which is solid (and at the time could have felt throwaway but later you see how pivotal it was to Nate’s arc for the rest of the show). But I guess it depends on what one thinks is the B plot.

Rainbow is my favorite but Sunflowers was by far the best S3 episode and the only one that got close to capturing the spirit and quality of S1-2.

I saw him in NYC on Saturday. He’s very funny and has an amazing set. It is wild hearing him speak in his normal voice for 90 minutes straight and not Roy’s growly one. But there are swears. 😆 You’ll have a great time.
