I’ve been following Ashley and Manuel’s journey on the show, and I can’t shake off the concerns I have. Manuel’s secretive nature and reluctance to share much about his personal life, coupled with his expectation for Ashley to financially support his family, have me seriously worried. Manuel’s habit of frequently running off on Ashley is sending up some major red flags. It’s got me thinking that Ashley might be better off cutting her losses sooner rather than later.
They’re just not a good match at all, but they’ll get married & then he’ll take off.
She even said this. She said the only time they are in sync is when they are having sex and the rest of the time they are on opposite sides.
When she said that, I thought to myself, “She’s a smart woman, smart enough to know what the deal with Manuel is and that he’s using her. But she’ll still go ahead and marry him.” I’m guessing she has low self-esteem or is afraid to be alone. Sex can only take you so far in a relationship.
As someone who’s had a weakness for Latin American guys, I would never go for a guy like Maniuel.
What is it about Manuel that is most troubling to you or a major turn off?
It’s hard to pick just one. He’s shown himself to be sexist, disrespectful, and racist towards Ashley. He comes across like a man-child. Ashley seems like someone who has ambition, while Manuel doesn’t. I can never understand women finding petulant, immature men who leech off of them attractive. They’re a nahor turnoff to me.
I agree. Men who leech is a definite no. If a man could not afford anything, then he couldn’t afford me. But she did say he has been cooking a lot. That is on the plus side. I would love for my husband to cook a whole meal for me. Maybe to Ashley, his cooking a lot and the great sex is worth all the other negatives she has to deal with.
