mark was getting clobbered by fucking maulers 3 episodes ago now he’s able to beat a full grown soldier viltrumite that’s been conquering worlds for millennia just because he “stopped holding back”. Even Nolan who got hospitalized by the guardians while soloing them, only suffered a cut on his head fighting THREE viltrumites!!! Just makes them look weak in comparison. I feel like they shouldn’t even have any chance winning that battle at all, not alone surviving in better condition than against way weaker foes

I’m not a comic reader (yet) so maybe that affects my opinion, but why would anyone want punching bag Mark back? I was so tired and bored of it. I’m glad he’s powered up, just in time to (I’m assuming) get his ass kicked by the more powerful Viltrumites. I’m glad he’s at least barely stronger than the fodder.

Lmao you ask that question but he started the season as a punching bag, how’s he a punching bag when fighting maulers and needed to be saved, but then against a viltrumite who should be the biggest threats of the show, that’s when he levels up like immediately. At least start the season with him taking literally 0 damage from maulers even though they jumped him

I forget, but wasn’t he fighting a bunch of the maulers? Also, “stop holding back” still applies there. And then against the viltrumites, he really spends most of the time distracting (getting his ass kicked) while Nolan gets the real hits in. Mark really only has one impressive sequence where he probably catches the girl off guard when he stops holding back.

I’m not sure what part seems so crazy. He’s the son of one of the most powerful viltrumites, it makes sense that he’d be stronger than the fodder, even at a young age.
