mark was getting clobbered by fucking maulers 3 episodes ago now he’s able to beat a full grown soldier viltrumite that’s been conquering worlds for millennia just because he “stopped holding back”. Even Nolan who got hospitalized by the guardians while soloing them, only suffered a cut on his head fighting THREE viltrumites!!! Just makes them look weak in comparison. I feel like they shouldn’t even have any chance winning that battle at all, not alone surviving in better condition than against way weaker foes

It’s because Mark holds back on Earth too, probably much more than he did initially fighting the viltrumites. It’s such a basic concept that you can’t seem to grasp. It’s not inconsistent power scaling, the reason why he looked weaker in every single fight before is because he’s been mentally holding back. The first time he’s ever let lose is fighting that viltrumite. You’re implying that the Viltrumites are now scaled down to Mauler level because Mark was able to go toe to toe with one while struggling with another, completely ignoring the massive factor that Mark held back then too. He’s been on Earth this whole time, of course he’s not used to going all out cause that would just destroy everything.

Based on what? Your only basis is powerscaling against the maulers which isn’t at all a good basis because again, Mark was also holding back.

Not all Viltrumites are equal (this seems to be the misconception that’s throwing you off, you’re treating every Viltrumite as if they’re Nolan’s level), there are weaker viltrumites and there are much much stronger Viltrumites, so what’s your basis that these guys sent to Thraxan are supposed to scale pretty high compared to Nolan and Mark?

If you’ve read the comic you’d know how high up the genetic Viltrumite ladder they actually are and how strong they are at peak relative to other Viltrumites
