Does anyone else think it is so odd that on 90DF the couples will have serious conversations about private things such as finances, family plans, etc. in front of their friends and family? And the friends and family partake!?

Like for example, last night with Miguel and Ashley. Why is it her friends business how Miguel and Ashley handle their finances in the future as a married couple!?

I know these are likely production fuelled conversations for the drama, but damn it’s so awkward to me. I’d never sit down with my friends/family and start delving into the intimate personal details of my relationship especially after they’ve just met my partner.

From a story telling standpoint it adds some spice and drama to the scene. It’s especially important since a lot of these scenes are pretty repetitive – someone having an argument about money over and over. By having different people around or changing locations (eg moving the argument to a car, or to a restaurant) it makes the scenes more visually dynamic for filming.
