I mean. He’s not evil… just a little bit dumb. He’s super silly and well. The most “in his animal” character. Mr peanutbutter is a good boy. He Always stayed loyal to bojack. I love his friendship with Todd. He’s super funny. I know he did bad things and all but i just cant Hate him.

    It’s not wrong. Him doing bad things doesn’t invalidate him as an option for being someone’s favourite character, especially since he’s a good character overall in spite of those things or even because of them.
    He’s a loveable character and if he’s your favourite then don’t let the inane morality pissing contests on this sub make you question that

    By the end of the show he’s bojacks only friend who still loves him and wasn’t negatively impacted by anything bojack did.

    He’s great.

    I think realistically Mister Peanutbutter is the type of person who would also be very prone to addiction. I’ve met a lot of people like him and the drugs and alcohol were what they relied on to maintain that overly positive and friendly facade in such a high pressure environment like the entertainment industry. I understand that for the sake of fiction MPB needed to contrast Bojack more, and having two addicts in the main ensemble would have made the show a lot bleaker than it already gets. I think he’s a funny, flawed, lovable character, but having experience with how addicts in real life who are a MPB on the outside and Bojack on the inside makes it hard to not see those characters as two sides of the same coin.

    People on this sub are living in a weird bizarre universe where Mr. PB is basically Hitler. I mean yeah he’s not the best listener but god damn. He’s genuinely nice to everybody all the time and he’s constantly doing things for other people while expecting nothing in return. Also extremely loyal to the people in his life. He brings so much love and positivity all the time. On balance he’s fantastic.

    I love Mr. Peanutbutter so much. He makes some bad decisions and often acts/thinks in a very selfish manner, but he’s always trying his best to make everybody as happy as he is. I relate to that kind of person, and it helps me see how my own naivete might hurt people if I’m not careful.
