That’s kinda how bojack was able to be so shitty for so long if we’re being real

I would love another adult animated comedy in this universe, but it would have to be a completely different plot with none of the BJH characters, a la Tuca & Bertie
I bet you like saying “Shut up, Todd!”
When I think about this scene, I think about the way this show designs characters. We generally agree that the main and supporting cast possess traits akin to their species—PC is finicky and detached from morality like a cat, Mr. PB has his doglike personality, Bojack is stubborn, etc. People often ponder if/how BJ’s horseness plays a role in his “born broken”-ness.
Seldom do I see people mention how when wild horses are domesticated, they are “broken”. There’s a lot to be said there, but I think Beatrice is acknowledging the generational trauma BJ’s bloodline has endured, while refusing to take any responsibility for how she perpetrated it. I also wonder if Bojack would’ve been happy running off with the wild horses.
Now Bread Poot, Jurj Clooners, THOSE are actors
I’m glad someone said this because that sentence irked me. Most of what happened to BJ is a result of his own actions. Self-responsibility is a huge theme of the show and I’m surprised OP missed that.
I related more to Diane in that moment
I am kinda endeared by PB’s annoyingness
