What is this empire after when it conquers a planet? To be honest, if they’re just like “join the empire and we will turn your planet into a utopia” that sounds too good to be true. Like, sure, if it were true, why not? I guess I’m wondering why it’s so bad to be part of the Viltrum empire — like if you’re gonna end war and cure cancer and hook a planet up with amazing technology um that sounds good to me. Seems ridiculous to think they’d need humans’ labor since they are 10000000000x more everything. So what are they really after? What happens after they “conquer the galaxy” or whatever?

Also, why doesn’t the species of lion guys (like Battle Beast from S1, and I think I saw another lion guy in S2 on that council) just go destroy Viltrum or attack Viltrumite outposts?

Thank you!!

Like all empires, they want to extract the resources of their colonies to benefit themselves. Why exactly they want earth specifically is a pretty big spoiler though.

The first thing that you have to keep in mind is that these are people who see every race the encounter as being beneath them. It could even be said that they are what the Nazis thought that they were. Are you going to trust the word of receiving all these society changing boons from a species of warmongers who do not flinch at slaughtering entire planets? From people like that, anything they offer comes with strings attached.

Also, why doesn’t the species of lion guys (like Battle Beast from S1, and I think I saw another lion guy in S2 on that council) just go destroy Viltrum or attack Viltrumite outposts?

Because there is only one of him. Battle Beast is nothing like the rest of his species.

I dont know if i can fully answer cause it depends on the fact if you have read the comics or not. Some of their mission are spoilers while on the other side they wanna spread their “purity” since they consider themselves the superior race.

But again there are part that are SPOILERS

“Hey guys… So you know that stranger that showed up in our land and started helping us for a while, then murdered our heros, then murdered thousands of innocent bystanders just to make a point? Yeah, he says he was sent here to weaken us and kill anyone who resists his takeover.”

“But he promises to give us tech. So, that’s a good deal, right? We can totally trust him?”
