I don’t feel sorry for ANY of the people going overseas.
They’re finally realizing that they can’t act the same as they do at home or they don’t realize how much of a difference in cultures they have with their fiancee is truly hilarious to me.
Americans moving overseas acting like they don’t have to change is also insulting. You’re not just marrying the person, you’re also marrying their culture and family.
Sorry not sorry you have to eat with the family and act like a housewife. Sorry not sorry that you have to dress a little more conservative. Sorry not sorry you can’t call your friends all the time or you miss your family. Sorry not sorry you have to work instead of playing video games.
They go without fully understanding the culture and consequences of moving to a completely different country. Blissfully ignorant from watching too many Disney movies.
So when they cry or are sad, I just laugh and think “That’s what they get/deserve!” They didn’t do any of the work to understand what they are getting into.
Some people learn life lessons the hard way… and I’m glad there’s a tv show that records it.
Very very true. Errrbecca comes to mind with this. The woman with the Moroccan fiancé who drank about a half gallon of whole milk in his coffee.
Rebecca and Zied? Zied is Tunisian.
