Maybe a stupid question but i wanna start the series, can i just start with that or do i need to start with the comics?

You don’t need either one to enjoy the other they both tell the same story more or less it’s really wish medium you enjoy. Also the show is still coming out and the comic has finished so if you don’t wanna wait I suggest the comics.
