    I live on a street with a bunch of retired neighbors. If any of them see me outside with my tools, they immediately come over and ask if they can help. And of course I happily let them.

    I’ve called on and off for misc home repair things over the course of the last couple years.

    AC Repair, 1 month wait

    Windows, 9 month wait

    Electrical, 3 month wait.

    Heck even a dentist said recently they weren’t seeing any new patients for at least 7 months.

    Idk being in my late 20s, never doing anything physical and now living on my own for the first time, I’ve been able to YouTube tutorial my way through a surprisingly high amount considering I’m a dumbass

    Yes, I see it first hand with my employees often. Here’s one for you. This happened a couple months ago, my Assistant Manager called to tell me the portable AC unit was broken. When I got to work, 3 more employees told me it was broken. I asked if anyone had checked the circuit breaker. They all looked at me like I had 3 heads.

    A couple of weeks ago, I got to work and the employees told me the kegerator was broken. The draft beer wasn’t cold. I guess someone had unplugged it to charge their phone the day before.

    I have to train them on the most basic problem solving.

    I’m pretty good at shit. I firmly believe at just relaxing your asshole. Sitting on your own throne,10/ 20 minutes with a bit of rocking from time to time. Multiple flushes.

    Stupid people don’t know how to do shit and never would have, technology or no. I love my phone, but I use it wisely. If I need something done, I’ll look that shit up and get my ass up and do it. People are fucking lazy.
